FRONTLINEdance wanted to do two things: reach more of its local disabled community and showcase the great work that is being produced by disabled artists. They decided a festival that had access as ‘standard’ (meaning its accessible to everyone to attend, engage and enjoy) was not one town-specific, and that showcased a range of arts forms from a wide variety of artists was the way forward.
The result: ‘FRONTLINE Arts Festival’ (FAF), the first West Midlands disability arts festival which will be arriving in Stoke-on-Trent, for the whole month of October!
All festival events are “pay what you decide”, and you’ll see from the ‘Whats On’ page that over 50 disabled artists will be present as makers, performers, speakers and workshop leaders.
